Ten years ago, Shannon Gibson began a balloon business out of a small rental space at a local flea market. Two years later, Shannon successfully transcended her dream endeavor and expanded her business into an all-in-one, one-stop party headquarters.
As Shannon's business's evolved, her clientele changed. Shannon received calls from local high schools wanting referrals to those that would decorate and Shannon courageously took on the ever-growing projects. From high school proms to family decorating jobs, Shannon's popularity and business networking grew.
The school jobs enabled her to gain additional contacts with parents, school officials and students. This connection allowed her the opportunity to grow into wedding planning and decoration special events for colleges.
In November 2005, as many scrambled to regain their foundation after the effects of Hurricane Katrina, Grambling State alumni sought Shannon's services for their annual scholarship extravaganza. Within two days of receiving the request , Shannon was operating, decorating and fascinating many at the gala.
From there , Shannon continued to excel with her business and again , through citywide communication, she received the grand distinction of decorating many events for the Galleria Chamber of Commerce, including the 4th Annual Grazing Gras event during the National Basketball Association's All-Star Weekend held in February 2006.
